Educational Qualifications for MMRDA Recruitment 2026

Group-A Posts

  • 1. Assistant Engineer Grade-1 (Civil)
    • Educational Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized University/Institution.
    • Experience:
      • Total experience of 5 years.
      • Candidate should be working in S-15 (₹41,800-₹1,32,300) for at least 3 years in CDA or equivalent scale in civil engineering fields.
      • Experience in construction projects in Government, Semi-Government, PSUs, or Private Sectors.
      • Conversant with international competitive bidding, computerized environment, and latest civil engineering technologies.
      • Adequate experience in planning/designing/construction of infrastructure projects like elevated roads, flyovers, and metro viaducts.
      • Conversant with modern technologies like precast segmental construction.
  • 2. Assistant Engineer Grade-1 (Track)
    • Educational Qualification: Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent.
    • Experience:
      • Total experience of 5 years.
      • Minimum 3 years in S-15 or equivalent scale.
      • Experience in construction and maintenance of tracks in Railways, Metros, or Government/Private sectors.
      • Knowledge of interfacing with railway disciplines like track laying, signaling, and electrification.
  • 3. Assistant Engineer Grade-1 (Signaling & Telecommunication)
    • Educational Qualification: Degree in Electronics / Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or its equivalent.
    • Experience:
      • Total experience of 5 years.
      • Minimum 3 years in S-15 or equivalent scale.
      • Experience in signaling & telecommunication (S&T) projects in Railways or Metros.
      • Adequate experience in planning, designing, supplying, testing, and commissioning of S&T systems for metro/rail projects.
  • 4. Deputy Planner (Up-Niyojak)
    • Educational Qualification:
      • Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or Planning.
      • Post-graduate degree in Town Planning recognized by AICTE.

Group-B Posts

  • 5. Assistant Land & Estate Manager (Sahayyak Bhumi va Milkat Vyavasthapak)
    • Educational Qualification: Degree in any branch from a recognized university. Preference is given to Law or Management/Estate Management degrees/diplomas.
    • Other Requirements: Must have passed the MS-CIT computer course.
    • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in handling land and estate-related matters.
  • 6. Assistant Engineer Grade-2 / Junior Engineer (Civil)
    • Educational Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or its equivalent.
    • Experience: Practical experience of 2 years in civil engineering related fields is preferred.
  • 7. Assistant Engineer Grade-2 / Junior Engineer (Track)
    • Educational Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or its equivalent.
    • Experience: Practical experience of 2 years in civil engineering related fields is preferred.
  • 8. Assistant Engineer Grade-2 / Junior Engineer (Electrical)
    • Educational Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent.
    • Experience: Practical experience of 2 years in electrical engineering related fields is preferred.
  • 9. Assistant Engineer Grade-2 / Junior Engineer (S&T)
    • Educational Qualification: Degree or Diploma in Electronics / Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or its equivalent.
    • Experience: Practical experience of 2 years in S&T technology related fields is preferred.
  • 10. Assistant Social Development Officer (Sahayyak Samaj Vikas Adhikari)
    • Educational Qualification: Master of Social Work (MSW) from a recognized university.
    • Experience: 3 years of experience in slum rehabilitation and urban community development in reputed institutions after completing MSW.
  • 11. Assistant Legal Officer (Sahayyak Vidhi Adhikari)
    • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent from a recognized university under UGC.
    • Experience:
      • At least 3 years of practical experience as an advocate in High Court, City Civil Court, or Subordinate Courts.
      • OR 3 years of experience handling legal matters in the legal department of State/Semi-Government offices, PSUs, or Corporations.
      • Should have experience in drafting MoUs, conveyance, litigation, and providing legal advice.
  • 12. Horticulture Assistant (Udyan Vidya Sahayyak)
    • Educational Qualification: Graduate degree in Botany, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, or equivalent.
    • Experience: Minimum 5 years of practical experience in garden development, maintenance, and tree plantation in Government or Semi-Government bodies.

Group-C Posts

  • 13. Sub-Accountant (Up Lekhapal)
    • Educational Qualification: Commerce degree with at least 60% marks (55% for reserved category candidates).
    • Other Requirements: MS-CIT certification is required.
    • Experience: 3 years of experience in accounting or finance in Government, Semi-Government, or business institutions after graduation.
  • 14. Stenotypist (Laghutanklekak)
    • Educational Qualification: S.S.C. pass or equivalent.
    • Skills: Shorthand speed of at least 80 w.p.m. and typing speed of at least 40 w.p.m..
  • 15. Surveyor (Bhumapak)
    • Educational Qualification: S.S.C. pass and an ITI certificate in “Surveyor” from a recognized institute.
    • Other Requirements: MS-CIT and AutoCAD certificates are mandatory.
    • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in land survey, measurement, and demarcation.
  • 16. Computer Technician (Sangank Tantradnya)
    • Educational Qualification:
      • S.S.C. pass.
      • 2-year certificate course in Computer Hardware & Networking from a recognized institute.
    • Experience:
      • Minimum 7 years of experience in computer hardware and repair in a large organization (at least 500 staff).
      • Good knowledge of internet security, data privacy, and troubleshooting

Selection Process – MMRDA Recruitment 2026

  1. Computer-Based Test (CBT)
    • All eligible candidates will have to appear for a Computer-Based Online Examination.
    • The exam will be conducted in multiple sessions, and normalization method will be applied to ensure fairness across shifts.
    • The CBT will test subject knowledge, reasoning, general awareness, and relevant skills depending on the post.
  2. Skill Test / Interview (Post-specific)
    • For certain posts like Stenographer, Surveyor, Computer Technician, a skill test may be conducted to assess practical abilities.
    • For higher-level posts (Executive Engineer, Legal Officer, Social Development Officer), an interview may be part of the process.
  3. Document Verification
    • Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents (educational certificates, caste certificate, domicile, PwD certificate, etc.).
    • Only candidates who produce valid documents will be considered for final selection.
  4. Final Merit List
    • Prepared based on normalized CBT scores + skill test/interview performance (if applicable).
    • Reservation rules of the Maharashtra Government will be applied.
